An improved version of the 2012 WiiWare original, TNT Racers: Nitro Machines Edition is a multiplayer-focused racing game that mixes together several seemingly disparate design elements into a game that makes more sense than you’d think. You race up to three other cars, only with two catches—you can hammer them with items, and you can smash them off the screen. Your objective isn’t so much to win the race, but to survive it. The last car remaining after the others have exploded gets the points. This Wii U version includes all the modes from the original, but adds much more content, as well as improved graphics. Online leaderboards give you incentive to boost your single-player scores, but TNT Racers: Nitro Machines Edition is all about the multiplayer.
