Armed robberies are never fun, but what about being trapped in the elevator with the assailant? That’s what happened to 77-year-old Loraine Bain on the night of April 29th. She was held at knife-point and had her purse snatched, but then the robber got stuck in the elevator with her when the door closed.

Footage from the security camera shows the elderly Lauderdale Lakes, Florida resident enter the elevator carrying her purse and her mail. Then, the robber follows her inside and snatches her purse before turning to leave.

But the door closes right in his face! The button to open the door doesn’t work, so they take a very awkward elevator ride to the fourth floor, where the robber exits and finally makes his getaway. The robber is still on the loose, but he has been publicly humiliated by the footage.
