Alien Hominid review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Alien Hominid for the Nintendo GameCube developed by The Behemoth and published by O3 Entertainment.

In a landscape where 2D games had become rare, Alien Hominid had the guts to stand tall. And blow up government operatives. Like Contra for the GameCube generation, Alien Hominid is a 2D shooter/action-platformer with loads of style and even more attitude. Playing as an alien shot down by the FBI, you exact revenge by blasting fools with your crazy arsenal of extraterrestrial guns. The game’s mechanics are simple, but Alien Hominid is an incredibly challenging game to master. Players can jump and shoot, but two hits kills your alien. And trust us, you’re going to lose a lot of your aliens. Alien Hominid was notable not only for being a 2D game during a primarily 3D era, but also for its intense gameplay, enormous boss battles and incredible hand-drawn style. Released to several platforms, Alien Hominid is a single and multiplayer game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Alien Hominid for the Nintendo GameCube and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
